1. Are you new to beta reading?
Yes, I'm new.

2. Your age (optional):
It don't matter.

3. Genre(s) – Please be specific to pieces you want beta read:
I'm writing an ongoing novel for an urban/futuristic fantasy story and one for a science fiction story.

4. Rating: G, PG, PG-13, R, or MA?
I try to keep it PG-13 for the most part. The only time I'd really push the edge is if there's a character who uses strong language, but I'll usually censor the words with *'s or -'s. Maybe the action scenes can be looked as violent, but I don't think it's any worse than something you'd find your average, run of the mill, summer blockbuster movie.

5. Warnings: Sex, violence, politics, religion, and other hot button issues.
I haven't really touched on any hot-button issues blatantly. Not because of me trying to avoid it. There just hasn't really been a place for it, yet. Maybe down the line, when I expand on the whole setting of the world I've created, something might turn up, but at best, it'll be done as a means of giving insight into a character's mind or setting up a setting.

6. What's your writing skill level?
I'd say I'm intermediate.

7. How serious are you about your writing?
This is a hobby, but it's a serious hobby. I don't have any interest in publishing my work for profit, but I really want my stories to be out there. Long term game plan is to make the story as solid as can be, find an amazing artist to work with transforming the story into a comic, find some animators to use that comic as the storyboard for a cartoon or 3D animated TV show, and have that show turn into a video game. And put all of that out there for free. Just because.

8. What writing aspects are you trying to improve?
The main thing I'm hoping to improve is setting up the setting. Personally, I hate reading long descriptions of anything in any work. So when I write, I avoid them completely. I feel that in doing so, I've sacrificed developing that skill. After this was pointed out to me, I've worked on it over time, but there's still moments where I feel that something's missing, and I'm not sure how to address it. It's easier looking back at some of my older work and finding out where things need to be fixed.

I'm also a big fan of experimenting with different stylistic choices. In doing so, I may do something that will put the reader off or something. If I can get a beta that can see where the idea is coming from and spitball some suggestions into making the idea flow right, that'd be great.

9. What are you looking for in the beta reader?
The best thing a beta reader can do for me is read and critique. I don't care how that critique comes.

10. Do you promise to put sincere effort into your partnership?
What kinda question is this? Of course I'mma be puttin' in work. It's all about the level up. Ya feel me?
So here's my author submission to these Beta Readers. Looks like a good group of people helpin people. I can dig it.
