1. Are you new to beta reading?
It's a new experience.

2. Your age (optional):
Old enough for anything.

3. How many authors would you like to beta read?
I'm looking for maybe 1 to 2 authors. I'd might be able to get in 3, but there's this real life thing that I haven't quite fully mastered yet.

4. Genre(s) – Please be specific:
On the real, any genre is fine. But I grew up watching and reading action, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi. I'm not too keen on romance, but if it's part of the story and not so much the entirety of it, then I'm down with it.

5. What won't you beta?
Let's try and stay away from erotica.

6. What's your writing skill level?
Intermid

7. How serious are you about your writing?
It's a hobby, but a serious hobby.

8. Your writing strengths:
I think my biggest strength is in constructing a plan for a plot and following through with it. This came out of necessity, because if I don't do it, I'll end up wandering around in the same place without really going anywhere. I suppose I'm also good with cutting stuff out. If it's not essential, and I don't feel any attachment to it, I'll delete it without a second thought.

I also try to approach writing like I'm watching a TV show. Some people have told me that when they read over my action scenes, they can see it play out clearly.

As far as reading goes, I'm big on grammar. I'll catch typos, awkward sentence structure, lack of clarity, and weird punctuation usage like it's nothing. It just jumps out at me. That's not to say I'm perfect and won't ever fall victim to these things. I do that all the time.

9. Writing weaknesses:
So, remember that thing about me cutting out stuff I don't feel attached to. I'll never, ever feel attached to a long description. I'll avoid them altogether, and in the past that has hindered me from really describing a setting or a scene. Maybe reading over people who are great at that will help me out there.

10. What are you looking for in an author?
I'm looking for a person who cares about their work. I don't mind if that person is more or less serious about their writing as me, but if they care enough to try and improve, then it's all good.

11. Do you promise to put sincere effort into your partnership?
If you care, I care. Let's make something great.
My profile for becoming a beta reader. And currently, I'm closed.

Hi, I've got a novel if you're interested. The basic plot is a hotel worker who gets high on acid at work one day. One thing leads to another, and by mid-afternoon he is trying to keep one co-worker alive while also restraining a suicide bomber.
Heres a few links to some short pieces I did to give you a bit of an idea of my style of writing; fav.me/d7m61j5 fav.me/d8vsen2 fav.me/d7mbcaw
